Welcome to Bedtime Stories AI (“we,” “our,” or
“us”). We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users,
especially the children who use our application.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard
information when parents or legal guardians use our
mobile application to create and read stories with their
children.
1. Family-Oriented
Use
- Bedtime Stories is designed to be used by parents or legal
guardians to create and read stories together with their
children.
- The App is not intended to be used independently by
children and does not provide standalone child accounts. All
interactions, content creation, and settings are managed by an adult
user, who is responsible for supervising how the App is used with their
child.
To provide the app’s core features—specifically the AI Story
Generation and Reading Profiles—we may ask for the following inputs,
which are processed locally or anonymized:
- Reader Profile: We collect a nickname (e.g.,
“Explorer”) and an avatar selection to personalize the experience. We do
not require real full names.
- Age Preference: We ask for the “Reader’s Age” (as
seen in the app settings) solely to adjust the complexity of the
vocabulary and the tone of the AI-generated stories.
- Story Prompts: When you use the “Create Magic”
feature, you provide text inputs (e.g., “A rabbit astronaut”, character
names, or locations).
- Advisory: Please do not enter sensitive personal
information (such as full real names, home addresses, or contact
details) into story prompt fields, especially when creating stories for
children.
- Usage Data: We track game progress, such as “Books
Read,” “Words Read,” and “Achievements” unlocked (as shown in the
Explorer profile) to store your progress locally or on our secure
servers.
- Device Information: We may collect non-personal
device identifiers (like device model and OS version) to ensure the app
functions correctly and to fix bugs.
We process this data to provide the core functionality of the App and
based on the adult user’s consent.
Some data is stored locally on your device (such as reading progress
and preferences). Other data, such as story prompts, is securely
transmitted to our servers and to our AI service providers solely to
generate story content.
Inactive profiles and associated data may be automatically deleted
after a reasonable period of inactivity, unless required to be retained
for legal or security purposes.
3. How We Use
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Our app uses Third-Party Artificial Intelligence services (e.g.,
OpenAI) to generate stories based on your inputs.
- How it works: When you tap “Create Magic,” the
parameters you selected (Theme, Educational Topic, Duration, and Prompt)
are sent to the AI provider to generate the text.
- Data Safety: We send only the prompt data. We do
not share your device ID or user profile metadata with the AI provider
for advertising purposes.
4. Subscriptions and
Payments
The app offers a subscription service (“Create your own stories”,
“Unlimited access”).
- All financial transactions are processed directly through the
Apple App Store or Google Play
Store.
- We do not store or have access to your credit card
information or billing address.
5. Third-Party
Services
We may use trusted third-party services to help us operate the
app:
- Analytics services are used solely to understand general app usage
(such as story duration preferences or feature popularity). This data is
aggregated, anonymized, and never used for advertising or cross-app
tracking.
- AI Providers: To generate the story content.
We do not use analytics for advertising or cross-app tracking.
6. Data Retention and
Deletion
- Story History: You can delete specific stories from
your library at any time by using the “Delete” (trash can icon) button
within the app.
- Account Deletion: If you wish to delete all
associated data (stats, created stories, and profile), please contact us
at info@appgeneration.com or use the deletion option within the app
settings if available.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to
help protect your personal information. However, please remember that no
method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
8. Changes to This
Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make
material changes, especially regarding how we handle family-related
usage data, we will notify you through the app or the app store
listing.
